토니 베넷은 미국의 가수로 1926년8월3일 뉴욕 퀸스에서 출생했습니다. 2017년 현재 나이는 91세입니다. Anthony Dominick Benedetto 본명은 안쏘니 도미닉 베네디토입니다.

그의 음악장르는 트러디셔너 팝 스탠다드, 쇼 튠즈, 스윙. 재즈, 이지 리스닝 등으로 위키백과에 설명이 되어있습니다. 화가로서도 활동하고 있으며, 뉴욕 퀸스 아스토리아에 있는 프랑크 시내트라 예술학교의 설립자이기도 합니다. 

그는 이탈리아계미국인으로 어릴 때부터 노래를 불렀고 제2차 세계대전에 미군의 보병으로 참전하여 유럽에서 싸웠습니다. 후에 노래를 연습한 후 콜롬비아 레포드와 계약하고 1951년에 첫 번째 히트곡인 Because of You를 발매했습니다. 

1950대에 인기 절정에 올랐고 1962년에는 그의 상징적인 노래인 I Left My Heart in San Fransisco를 발표했습니다. 그러나 록음악의 전성시대가 오면서 침체기를 겪다가 1980년대말에 컴백해서 활동을 재개했습니다. 토니 베넷은 그래미상 19회, 에미상 2회를 수상했습니다.
